The Tactical Combat Training Systems Expert is responsible for integrating, testing, and supporting the TCTS Increment II subsystems within the Navy's Continuous Training Environment to enhance warfighter readiness. The role involves working with live, virtual, and constructive simulation systems and supporting system troubleshooting and documentation updates. Candidates must have technical expertise in combat training systems, experience with related communication and warfare subsystems, and hold an active secret security clearance.
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Tactical Combat Training Systems Increment II (TCTS II) Instrumentation SME. This is an onsite position in Norfolk, VA.
Join the Navy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premier Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Testing, integration and fielding of TCTS Increment II (TCTSII) within the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). This includes the TCTSII subsystems such as Participant Subsystems (PS), Ground Subsystems (GS), Remote Range Unit (RRU) and Portable Support Equipment Subsystem (PSES).
Integrating TCTS subsystems into the Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) environment. These subsystems include Live Monitor (LM), RADAR Aircraft Display System (RADS), Link16 Inject to Live (LITL), Joint Debriefing Subsystem (JDS), Large Area Tracking Range (LATR), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Electronic Warfare Server (EWS), Individual Combat Air Display System (ICADS), and Digital Radio Management System (DRMS)
Support troubleshooting and enhancements to existing range training subsystems.
Assist with project managers with the development of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Change Management/Change Requests (CMCR) as required.
Amend technical documents and drawings as required.
Attend meetings as required to keep project managers aware of new developments and changes in project timelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years experience or High School and 7+ years experience.
Experience with Threat/ Intelligence simulation and sources
Working knowledge of some of the systems that interface with TCTS II (ex. Digital Radio Management System (DRMS), Link 16, Electronic Warfare Server (EWS), Large Area Tracking Range (LATR), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), or RADAR Aircraft Display System (RADS))
Must have the ability to read and comprehend preventive maintenance documents and procedures
Must be organized and able to work independently and with others
Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS
Clearance Requirements:
Active secret security clearance and US citizenship
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
