We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 6, 2026. This opportunity features 10-hour day shifts from 7a-5p with no call, and offers a schedule of select dates each month through June.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform low and moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access and insertion (peripheral line), and fracture or dislocation reductions with minimal to moderate displacement
• Manage high risk procedures including G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion or defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tube placement, and central and arterial line placement
• Deliver critical care services in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care

Additional Information

• Must hold a current California license
• Must be on active staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges (not limited to locum privileges)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
