Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 18 months of recent experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Shift schedule is 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts, 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am
• Shifts may be variable based on operational needs and may require rotation
• Patient care involves medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at any related location may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a minimum six-month wait before returning
• Testing and assessments are part of orientation
• Must be able to meet variable scheduling demands to meet hospital needs

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 18 months of permanent experience in the applying specialty prior to travel assignments
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation with acceptable scores
