American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in both CT and X-ray imaging for an acute care setting with rotating day and night shifts.
Responsibilities- Position is in an acute care hospital department covering CT and X-ray
- Imaging coverage includes ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR settings with a variety of cases including trauma and stroke
- Procedures performed include CTAs, trauma imaging, orthopedic joint imaging, and various x-rays
- Experience with Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio Xray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC c-arm, and Hologic Mini-C is utilized
- Requires use of Epic EMR and McKesson PACS
- 10 hour rotating day and night shifts with call and holiday coverage as needed
- Shifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on department needs
- Floating to cover radiology injections or biopsies may be required, with training provided
- Weekend coverage is typically every third or fourth weekend
- The role may be busy and demanding with a high volume ER and clinic
- Support from a director is available during the day and after hours for emergencies
- A Radiology RN is available Mon–Fri; there is no RRA support
- Positive attributes for this role include strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively
- One week of unit-specific orientation is provided
- Holiday and call coverage is assigned as needed based on staffing
- Requested time off must be included with initial application and additional requests will not be approved
- Scrub requirements are not specified
- At least 1 year of experience in both CT and X-ray imaging is required
- Active ARRT(R) and BLS certifications are required; ARRT-CT certification preferred
- Current state license required if applicable; pending licenses or certifications will not be accepted
- Experience with surgery C-arm in emergent cases is required
- Knowledge of and ability to perform CT and X-ray in multiple patient care settings
- Driver's license copy is required for consideration
- Two recent professional references are required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years, both with employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and not have been employed by any CommonSpirit-related facility (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year
