Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least one year of specialty experience, an active MT or compact RN license, and certification in BLS and ACLS from AHA.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Day shifts, 10 hours per day, 5 days a week
- May be required to float to other departments as needed
- On-call responsibilities may be assigned during scheduled shifts
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
- Provide independent and delegated nursing care for cardiac cath lab patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and treatment plans
- Document care according to hospital and regulatory standards
- Engage in patient education and health counseling as needed
- Team members are expected to support the mission and values of the healthcare organization
- Compliance with background check and drug screening processes is required
- Expectations include reporting to lab for drug screen within 24 hours of assignment commitment
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing required
- ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- No pending nursing licenses at time of consideration
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
