The local critical access hospital staffs Emergency Room Physicians as well as Hospitalist so the only call is after hours phone only coverage for clinical questions (1:6) and Obstetrics call (1:5) if that is part of the selected privileges. Also, if interested, you will have the opportunity to mentor rural health medical students as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Washington Medical School. The community has a wide range of other services including physicians practicing in the specialties of Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB-Gyn, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Podiatry, Radiology, as well as a comprehensive Critical Access hospital complete with ICU, two modern OR suites, spiral CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, and a state of the art PACS/teleradiolgy system.
