Job Details:
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Pennsylvania or Compact license required in hand at time of submission
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6 during day shifts, 1:6-7 during night shifts
• Floating to other units required
• Every third weekend and every other holiday requirement
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Must be NIHSS certified for neurological patient care
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for adult patient population including total knee, total hip, neuro spine, urology, overflow trauma, and surgery patients
• Provide care to neurological patients including stroke, seizure, dementia, brain tumor, acute mental status changes, and ambulatory dysfunction
• Skills required include blood product administration, central line blood draws, telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, and various specialized nursing procedures
• Must complete Pass/Fail exam for clinical clearance (3 attempts maximum)
• 30-bed unit with daily census of 28 patients
• Self-scheduling system
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
