Job Opportunity: Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
- Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round-and-go model with call from home.
- Perform circumcisions as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist role.
- Provide expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate closely with Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated care.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research.
- Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required).
- Ohio license (or willing to obtain) (Required).
- Recent NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days active) (Required).
- Previous employment experience in leadership role(s) (Preferred).
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) (Required).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Valid Ohio medical license or willingness to acquire.
- DEA registration prior to starting.
