The Hematology/Oncology Physician provides inpatient and outpatient care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, managing treatments including chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants. They work Monday to Friday with no call during locum periods and participate in clinical activities such as tumor board meetings and blood bank management. Certification requirements include board certification in Hematology & Oncology, active state medical license, BLS, and DEA registration.
Shift Description: Monday Friday, 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Average Number of Patients Per Day - outpatient: 25
Average Number of Patients Per Day - Hospital (Call/Rounding): 20
Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient Setting, Oncology - Inpatient Setting
Number of Physicians in Practice: 7
How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 6
Call Schedule: No call during locum period; Call expected if placed permanently; Call schedule is 1 week out of every 6-8 weeks
