Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Critical Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
- Unit has 6 beds and serves patients following cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest
- Patient population includes young adults through late adults (ages 18-60+)
- Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- Contract length is approximately 16 weeks with required start and end dates
- Must work at least one of two major holidays during the contract
- Care for patients recovering from complex cardiac conditions and procedures
- All positions are offered automatically upon meeting qualifications
- Travelers must work with their manager regarding potential contract extensions at least 45 days before assignment end
- Covid vaccination is not required
- Holiday coverage is required for at least one major holiday
- A radius rule applies for local candidates and may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
