Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Pediatric Anesthesiology in Dayton, OH

Are you an experienced Pediatric Anesthesiologist seeking a flexible, rewarding locum opportunity? Dayton Children's Hospital is actively seeking dedicated physicians to provide essential anesthesiology coverage from August 10 to November 16, 2026. Play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a prestigious Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting a dynamic team in a busy surgical environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Cover hospital-based operating rooms with a caseload of 50-60 surgeries daily
• Supervise CRNAs in a collaborative care team model
• Manage anesthesia for patients ranging from neonatal to adult
• Ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting
• No call duties required during this assignment

Required Skills:

• Certified Physician in Anesthesiology with active medical licensure
• Proven experience in pediatric anesthesiology, preferably in a hospital setting
• Ability to supervise CRNAs effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Capable of managing diverse patient demographics, from neonates to adults

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in Level 1 Trauma Center environments
• Familiarity with anesthesia carts and medication preparation
• Experience working independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in anesthesiology
• Board certification in anesthesiology
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in pediatric anesthesia

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing documentation including DEA, CSR, CAQH login, and certifications required at time of acceptance
• Internal credentialing status to be confirmed
• Compliance with facility fingerprinting and credentialing procedures
• Ability to travel as needed; travel expenses reimbursed according to facility policies
