Wage: $25.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)
We’re seeking motivated individuals to join a close-knit team in Dane, WI on 1st shift. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build long-term skills in a supportive, smaller-team environment. They offer hands-on training, tuition and trade-school support, and an annual bonus!
Wireman Responsibilities:
- Perform wiring of switchgear, control panels and related assemblies following electrical schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Route, cut, strip, terminate, label and secure wires according to specifications
- Build and install components including breakers, relays, CTs/VTs, instrument panels and bus structures
- Ensure product meets UL standards and internal quality requirements
- Conduct point-to-point continuity checks to verify wiring accuracy
- Perform basic electrical tests using multimeters and other standard tools
- Identify and correct wiring errors, component issues or build discrepancies
- Document work performed and report any nonconformances
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practices
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Work closely with engineering, QA and production teams to resolve problems
- Provide feedback for process improvements and design enhancements
- Support a positive team-oriented culture
Requirements for Wireman:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of electrical wiring or panel-building experience OR technical school equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and bill of materials
- Proficiency with electrical hand tools, crimpers, torque drivers and multimeters
- Strong understanding of safe electrical practices
- Experience with low- or medium-voltage switchgear or industrial control panels
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, or NEMA standards
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring or assembly issues
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules
