We are looking for committed healthcare professionals to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Kentucky. In this role, you will perform interview-based assessments, including physical evaluations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will work independently within your own office location, ensuring timely and thorough evaluations for veterans. This position offers ongoing flexibility, allowing you to choose days that suit your schedule, with the chance to earn competitive compensation on a per-shift basis.
Required Skills:
- Medical license in Kentucky with an active state medical license
- Board certification or current fellowship in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
- Experience with Compensation & Pension exams or relevant general medicine experience
- Strong interpersonal and diagnostic skills
- Ability to conduct interview-based assessments and physical evaluations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working with veterans or within government-sponsored medical assessments
- Familiarity with VA procedures and documentation
- Proficiency with medical reporting and documentation tools
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in General Medicine or related specialties
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams is highly advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must have own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
- Valid certifications, travel reimbursements, and licensure expenses are not covered outside established rates
- Strict adherence to documentation deadlines and exam protocols
- Availability for quick credentialing and onboarding processes
Position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $624.00, with flexible scheduling options whether you prefer half-day or full-day shifts allowing you to balance your professional commitments with personal priorities. Additionally, earn a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing all training requirements and your first exams.
