Job Details:
• Must have minimum 2 years of emergency room experience in an acute care setting
• Highly preferred travel experience or 5+ years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility
• Must have MEDITECH 6.15 experience required
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• Weekend requirement every 3rd-4th weekend
• Holiday schedule every other holiday
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Must complete online Cardiac Rhythms test with minimum 80% passing score
• Must complete ESI Triage Exam during orientation
• Caribbean blue scrub color required
• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts depending on comfort level
• Nurses perform own lab draws and IV starts
• Must reside 75 miles or more from facility address
• Driver's license address must be provided at time of submission
• Weekly COVID testing required if not vaccinated
• Work in 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays
• Handle approximately 140 patient visits per day
• Treat patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma, CVA, orthopedic cases

The facility maintains 24/7 staffing with multiple physicians and mid-level providers, dedicated respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and central monitoring. The emergency department serves as a stroke center and handles a high volume of diverse cases while providing advanced trauma care capabilities.
