- BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Experience managing strokes, ACS, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis
- Comfortable teaching residents/med students

Full description
--Looking for BE/BC Hospitalist to join established program
--Common Conditions Managed: CVAs [ICH, SAH, Ischemic], Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, COPD, Pneumonia and Sepsis. We are the designated stroke service; strokes make up approximately 60% of the service
--No critical care patients. No codes, no procedures.
--Rapid response: respond to assigned Hospitalist service patients only.
--Current Model: 7AM-7PM 5 MDs per day with a day APP Monday Friday working from 8a-4p to assist with new admissions/consults/transfers; 7PM-7AM Two Nocturnist APPs
--7 days on/7 days off [Tuesday ? Monday]
--16-18 encounters per day/15 patients per physician, plus 2-3 admissions.
--Hospitalist Team covers 75 beds + remaining open for stroke patients, approximately a total of 80 beds.
--ACLS & NIH Stroke Scale certifications
--Compensation is mix of base salary (based on experience) and production bonuses
--Up to $40K/year available in loan repayment
--EMR: Cerner/PowerChart
--Job has academic affiliation and teaching of residents/medical students is included (for IM trained physicians)
