Job Title: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Join a dynamic medical team in Brooksville, FL, at a 20-bed Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in a flourishing area north of Tampa along Florida's stunning Nature Coast. This facility supports approximately 1600 annual deliveries and offers opportunities for professional growth alongside a team of dedicated specialists, including on-site support from Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine experts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care in a fast-paced Level-III NICU environment.
- Perform assessments, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions for neonatal patients.
- Collaborate closely with Neonatologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in patient care rounds and family education.
- Conduct 16-hour shifts with potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit expands.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- At least 2 years of direct work experience in a NICU setting (excluding training or RN experience).
- Completion of a Neonatal PA training program is highly preferred for PA candidates.
- Clean malpractice and licensing history.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Florida state license or willingness to obtain.
- Board certification relevant to specialty (NNP or PA certification).
- DEA license must be obtained prior to starting the position.
