Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Valid, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
- BLS
- ACLS
Responsibilities:
- Provide general medical services including diagnostics, evaluations, and treatment.
- Perform routine and emergency medical procedures.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiological tests.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Evaluate new inmates within 14 days of arrival and determine treatment plans.
- Manage chronic care patients following established clinical practice guidelines.
- Coordinate with specialty providers and refer as appropriate.
- Provide input on medical supplies and assist in procurement.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
- Support compliance with infection control and immunization policies.
- Additional duties as assigned by facility.
