Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is 1:5-6 on average
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
- Weekend shifts are required
- Floating to similar units within scope may be required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic charting system, Epic experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who were previously employed as permanent staff must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Applicants residing within 75 miles are not eligible to apply as locals
- No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this assignment
- No more than 3 days of requested time off are automatically approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
- Navy scrubs required
- Brief unit orientation and onsite modules will be provided during orientation
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience strongly preferred
- Epic documentation experience preferred
