Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Medical Surgical ICU position in Texas, requiring Epic experience and travel nursing background.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical ICU setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Unit consists of 12 rooms
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Weekend coverage includes 6 shifts per 6 week period
• Utilizes Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles or in specified Texas counties
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as travelers
• Requesting time off is limited to 3 days and not permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
