Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Pediatric Hospitalist
Job Details:
• Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist services with approximately 2-5 patient encounters per shift • Manage both acute and chronic ventilation for newborns and pediatric patients • Perform intubations (ETT/NT) for both newborn and pediatric patients • Conduct conscious sedation procedures (deep sedation preferred) • Place and manage central lines and arterial lines • UVC and UAC placement (preferred skills) • Perform chest tube insertions and other procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis (preferred) • Interpret X-rays and EKGs • Perform circumcisions and suture minor lacerations • Needle pneumothorax decompression (preferred skill) • Must be comfortable with swallow studies (preferred) • Position requires ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications • Board certification eligible physicians accepted • Must have active North Carolina license or be eligible through IMLC • Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days • Start date January 14, 2026 with ongoing assignment potential • Accommodations available at Hampton Inn in Henderson, NC
