Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a KY or compact RN license, Cath Lab experience, and EPIC proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cath Lab of a hospital setting
- 4 days per week, 9-hour day shifts from 6:00AM to 3:30PM
- On-call required for weekends and holidays
- Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes for on-call duties
- Utilizes EPIC for documentation
- Performs both diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
- Responsible for both circulating and monitoring duties during Cath Lab procedures
- Expected to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and assist in advanced cardiac procedures
- Documentation and charting are completed in EPIC
- Weekend and holiday coverage required due to on-call responsibilities
- Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes when on call
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Ability to circulate for procedures
- Experience performing and managing diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and monitoring pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
- Proficiency in recognizing and managing dysrhythmias
- EPIC experience required
- Scrub experience preferred
