A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care by monitoring patients' heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, oxygen levels, and electrocardiogram data. They assess, plan, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, administer medications, and assist physicians during examinations. This role requires expertise in interpreting telemetry equipment and responding to irregular readings to ensure patient safety during travel nursing assignments.

Responsibilities
Telemetry RNs (Tele RNs) consult with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. The Tele RN utilizes machines that measure a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, as well as blood oxygen levels and electrocardiogram information. Tele RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Tele RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report an adverse reaction to medications in accordance with policies
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient
- Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team member
- Monitor specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displaysShift:3x12 Nights
