Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Cardiovascular & thoracic surgeon to work locum shifts in Greenville, South Carolina (SC) at a hospital-based practice. The role involves inpatient rounding and surgical procedures as needed, with 24-hour coverage during scheduled dates. Starting in November , the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Cardiovascular & thoracic surgery role:
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Coverage Dates:
- November 27-30 (Thanksgiving)
- December 25-28 (Christmas)
- Additional coverage opportunities throughout 2026
Schedule:
Key Responsibilities:
- Hospital rounding and consults
- Perform required surgeries including: Aneurysm repair, Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), • Heart valve replacement
- Respond to emergent cases as needed
EMR: Epic
Requirements:
South Carolina medical license active and unrestricted
Board Certified
ACLS
Clean background and NPDB self-query required
