The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician provides specialized emergency care to pediatric patients at the University of Iowa Health Care, managing a high-volume, dedicated pediatric emergency facility. This role requires board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and involves clinical care, teaching, research, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The University of Iowa Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Iowa Health Care is searching for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team in the Department of Emergency Medicine. (Open to all career levels)

Requirements & Qualifications (all candidates):
- Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
- Position requires completion and an ACGME-accredited training program.
- Applicants must be board eligible, or board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Pediatrics; or be dual board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics at the time of hire.
- The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Iowa medical license.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior academic experience in Emergency Medicine training programs.
- Prior teaching experience in the medical sciences, post graduate level.
- Prior research experience/scholarship in Emergency Medicine or the health sciences.
- Demonstrated experience providing patient focused care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to academic medicine.
- Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
