A hospital in Middlebury VT is seeking a motivated and skilled CRNA to join their expanding Anesthesia team.
About the Opportunity:

- Hours: 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments, including evaluating the patient's medical history, allergies, and potential risk factors
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans tailored to patient needs
- Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or sedation) and continuously monitor patient response during procedures.
- Manage intraoperative anesthetic delivery, adjusting as needed to ensure patient stability and safety
- Provide postoperative care, including monitoring for complications and supporting pain management and recovery
- Respond promptly and effectively to anesthesia-related emergencies, including airway management and life-support interventions
- Accurately document all anesthesia-related activities and maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures, risks, and recovery expectations
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Active VT Registered Nurse (RN) license and in compliance with state regulations for CRNA practice.
- Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Recent clinical experience (typically 1-3 years) in an ICU or high-acuity setting prior to CRNA training
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail in clinical documentation
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, fostering effective interdisciplinary collaboration
