Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with experience in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation and a current state license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Position involves 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient rehabilitation therapy
• Work setting includes hospital and long term care environments
• Typical work schedule is 32 hours per week with 8-hour shifts
• Primary responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy through physical activity, manual therapy, and exercises
• Role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, including speech and physical therapists
• Expect to maintain detailed patient records and communicate progress to families and providers
• Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity with patients and families
• Ongoing professional development and participation in staff meetings are expected
• Open to both local and non-local candidates, as there is typically no radius rule

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program required
• Experience in a long term care or hospital setting required
• Current Physical Therapist state license required if applicable
• Current BLS or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required
• Strong documentation and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to provide care appropriate to patients' age and condition
