Our client, a leading Orlando-based nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Assistant Purchasing Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least five years of purchasing experience within public housing. Job Title: Assistant Purchasing Manager
Location: Orlando, FL (near downtown)
Pay Range: $50K-$60K
What’s the Job?
- Coordinate and supervise all functions related to the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities of procurement, inventory control, and procurement operations.
- Ensure procurement activities are in compliance with organizational policy, State and Federal laws.
- Prepare, facilitate and negotiate all contractual activities.
- Prepare and/or process records and reports including cost analysis, inventory control data, training data, quote and proposal solicitation, and vendor qualifications research.
What’s Needed?
- BA Degree from a U.S. accredited college or university and 3-5 years of purchasing experience
- Management experience in Public Housing environment
- Knowledge of HUD Statues an Federal regulations
- Expertise in independently drafting and analyzing, tracking and processing RFP's, RFQ's, IFB's, contracts and other business documents
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of e-procurement technologies
