Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Site in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment, while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and promote a secure environment within the financial institution.
- Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols for armed security-related duties, including handling and securing firearms in accordance with company and legal standards.
- Assist with access control, verifying identification, and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and first aid, when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
