This position offers a Night 3x12-Hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

This is a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients. It will function as a med/surg tele unit, located in a flexible space within the GI Endoscopy area. Patient demand may cause fluctuations in the number of patients. The RN will be responsible for overseeing patient care in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Competently place IVs and manage peripheral line care.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams when necessary.
• Administer oxygen and manage non-invasive airway devices.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and ensure patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Med/Surg Tele position.
• BLS certification is required.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• Ability to float within the unit as needed.
• New York state license in hand is required for submission.
