Position Overview:
Amergis Healthcare is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician (MD/DO) in Addiction Medicine , Internal Medicine , or Family Medicine for a part-time opportunity in Rockland, Maine. This role focuses on addiction treatment services in a structured outpatient setting.

Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension
Schedule: Mondays and Fridays 5:00 AM 11:30 AM
Call: Minimal weekend call (not guaranteed)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in occasional weekend call coverage (minimal and not guaranteed)
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Active Maine medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in addiction medicine or substance use treatment preferred
