An immediate locums opening for a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician is available in Michigan for ongoing coverage.

Highlights

• Block scheduling offered: work two consecutive weeks per month.
• Low call burden: call is 1:2 but involves very few actual calls.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient focus with inpatient component.
• Facility holds three major accreditations, including American College of Surgeons CoC.
• Collegial 4-provider group (1 MD, 3 APPs) environment.

Schedule

• Only 2 weeks per month
• Typical shifts are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
• Coverage includes occasional night and weekend call.
• Call is Beeper type with a 15-minute response time required.

Procedures and Cases

• Target patient volume is an average of 10-15 patients per day.
• New patient consults are booked for 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30 minutes.
• Scope is Hematology and Oncology coverage; no inductions performed at the facility.
• Weekly tumor board and onsite genetic counselor are available.

Requirements

• Must be a Physician (MD/DO) with an active MI license.
• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology is required.
• Fellowship is preferred.
• Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications.

Credentialing Requirements

• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days.
• Must obtain hospital and/or surgery center privileges.
