Title: OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00); variable start times possible (7am, 9am, 11am, occasional night coverage as needed)

Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements:

• Perform surgical technologist duties in a high-acuity operating room, including scrubbing, case cart preparation, and crash cart readiness

• Maintain aseptic technique, sterile field, and adherence to universal protocol and safety standards

• Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, General Surgery, Robotics, GU, and GYN

• Provide support for trauma cases including amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and multi-system injuries

• Prepare, handle, and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies including microscopes, laparoscopic towers, arthroscopes, and robotics equipment

• Support orthopedic procedures such as total joints, spinal fusions, fracture reductions, and arthroscopy

• Assist with neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies, cervical and lumbar fusions, laminectomies, and discectomies

• Assist with vascular, general, urologic, gynecologic, ENT, thoracic, bariatric, transplant, and cardiovascular procedures as assigned

• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, laser safety, sharps safety, sterilization, and infection control standards

• Float to affiliated locations as required and participate in on-call coverage per unit needs

• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of recent OR Surgical Tech experience (5 years preferred)

• Mandatory experience in Orthopedics, Neuro, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma (hard stops)

• Trauma experience required

• Active BLS certification

• Travel experience required

• Ability to take call and work weekends as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); NBSTSA certification preferred

• Community hospital experience

• Experience with craniotomy, airway management, and advanced trauma procedures

• Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic system and navigation systems
