Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 (Finger Lakes region)
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 11, 2026)
• Schedule: Full Time, Day/Night Rotation (36 hours/week), 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care – serving adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,830 - $1,960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI required)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Med/Surg RN
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide direct patient care, monitor patient progress, and coordinate care throughout the hospital stay
• Educate patients and families on self-care, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge instructions
• Promote a healing environment and offer emotional support to patients and families
• Advocate for patient safety, uphold patient rights, and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development in the healthcare setting
• Administer medications and perform clinical interventions as required
