Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required (6 per contract)
• Float required within skillset
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including congestive heart failure, MI, atrial fibrillation, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke/TIA, COPD, diabetes, and other medical conditions
• Perform telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, peritoneal dialysis, and NIHSS assessments
• Work with specialized equipment including safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every room
• 34-bed telemetry unit with daily census of 27 patients
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other services
• Must have compact license or Maryland license
• Two supervisor references required
