We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide part-time weekend locum coverage in Illinois . This role supports a growing team and involves call-based coverage focused on emergent cardiothoracic cases.

Overview:

• 1-2 weekends of coverage needed each month (Possible future coverage needs of 10-14 day stretch)
  
• Providers take call and any emergent cases that present, round on any patients we have, all call, no clinic, cover emergent cases only.
  
• Avg 3 calls per weekend unless change in condition of a pt.
• Daily AM rounding with CVU support
• Weekends Friday 10am to Monday 5am
• Manage and perform emergent cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Active Illinois medical license
• DEA and CSR required
