Work Experience:
- The Physical Therapist (PT) is a professional who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- The PT is ultimately responsible for implementing and documentation of interventions, outcomes, discharge plans and patient/family/care giver education.
- He/she collaborates with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide continuity of care.
- The Physical Therapist is responsible for the supervision of and delegation of tasks to appropriate individuals including Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), technicians, students, and other customers of the organizations.
- The PT must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care and is accountable to the policies and procedures of the organization.
- He/she reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services
Education: Graduate of a professional physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Bachelor’s Degree - Required
License: Current Physical Therapist license from the State of Nebraska
Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) obtained within six full months from date of hire (only for staff scheduled in Home Health and Hospice)
