Title: Physical Therapist – Pediatrics (Outpatient)
Location: Saint Cloud, MN
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, primarily 4x10-hour shifts (07:30–18:00). Will consider 5x8 or 4x9 schedules. No call required.
Provide outpatient physical therapy services to pediatric patients in a comprehensive pediatric clinic.
Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, set short-term goals, and complete reassessments and discharges.
Treat a wide range of pediatric conditions including torticollis/plagiocephaly, developmental delays, toe walking, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, hypermobility, orthopedic concerns, and pediatric pelvic health.
Deliver one-on-one patient care.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention.
Utilize pediatric standardized assessments such as PDMS and BOT.
Document all care accurately and efficiently, including assessments, evaluations, plans of care, and billing-related documentation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including social services.
Float as required to meet clinic needs.
Screen for and report signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse.
Required Qualifications:
Physical Therapist with state licensure (Minnesota license required; may apply after offer, temporary license available).
BLS certification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Must be very comfortable treating pediatric patients.
Ability to work in an outpatient pediatric clinic setting.
Willingness to work scheduled shifts within clinic hours (start no earlier than 7:30 AM, end no later than 6:00 PM).
Traveler must live more than 25 miles from the facility.
First-time travelers accepted.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Epic charting experience.
Pediatric experience including:
Cerebral palsy, developmental delays, early intervention programs, milestone assessments, torticollis, spina bifida, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.
Pediatric standardized testing (PDMS, BOT).
Assessment skills including strength testing, sensory response, vital sign monitoring, skin integrity assessment, and pain assessment.
Orthopedic skills such as gait training, extremity mobilization, taping, and treatment of ankle and knee injuries.
Neurologic experience including cognitive disorders and concussion management.
Familiarity with pediatric adaptive and assistive devices, wheelchair assessment, and orthotics.
Billing experience with commercial, Medicaid, and private pay.
Strong professional skills including patient/family education, medication awareness, and safety and injury prevention.
