A Level II Trauma Center in Redding, CA is seeking an experienced Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage in the Neurosurgery/Trauma Intensive Care Unit. This role focuses on the management of emergency surgical patients involving brain, neck, and spine pathologies. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care.

Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Clinical Responsibilities:
Management of neuro-trauma and neurosurgical ICU patients
Collaboration with multidisciplinary critical care, trauma, and neurosurgical teams
Documentation in Cerner Care B EMR
Required Procedures:
Low/Moderate Risk Procedures
Laceration repair
Peripheral IV access/insertion
Fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal to moderate displacement)
High-Risk Procedures
G-tube placement
Endotracheal intubation
Cardioversion/defibrillation
Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) placement
Paracentesis
Chest tube insertion
Central venous line placement
Arterial line placement
Requirements:
Active CA License
Board Certification
ACLS, ATLS, and DEA
