American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a nephrology telemetry night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and tele experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital nephrology telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Patient ratios are 1:5-6 on the telemetry unit
- Assignment includes every other weekend shifts; for nights, this may be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
- Floating within scope required as needed
- Specialized procedures include peritoneal dialysis
- Uses Epic for charting
- No on-call requirements
- Navy scrubs required
- Responsibilities include providing skilled care to nephrology telemetry patients and performing peritoneal dialysis
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No more than 7 days of RTO (requested time off) permitted per 13-week contract and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
- No parking costs associated with the assignment
- Maximum stay for travelers is 18 months with a required 3-month break afterward
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- BCLS and NIH certifications required
- 1-2 years of telemetry RN experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required for some units
- Willingness to work night shifts and required weekends
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
- Previous permanent staff must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Pending license accepted if stated
