The Traffic Control Officer directs vehicular and pedestrian traffic at events and commercial areas to reduce congestion and ensure safety. This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong decision-making and communication skills. The position involves physical activity outdoors in various weather conditions and handling customer interactions professionally.

The Spirit of the Position:
Traffic Control supports by directing traffic during event to help reduce traffic congestion and direct vehicles to certain areas of Calabasas shopping mall.
Principal Job Duties:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license (For minimum of 2 years).
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Work independently or with a team member, reporting to a field supervisor.
- Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
Physical Demands:
- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - no sitting is allowed.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
