This locum tenens Radiation Oncologist position in Illinois requires a board certified or eligible physician to provide precise radiation treatment to oncology patients. The role involves managing 10-15 daily treatments, weekly follow-up visits, and occasional consultations while collaborating with another oncologist and utilizing Epic and Aria EMR systems. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no rounding or admissions responsibilities.
Coverage Needed July 24-28 July 31-Aug 4 Aug 7- Aug 11 Aug 14- Aug 18 Schedule M-F 8a-4:30p Clinical Details Typical Day: Ability to see patients in a timely manner and execute precise and accurate treatment to them in a timely manner. Our typical patient load is between 10-15 daily treatments. With weekly OTV visits on Wednesday. Consultations vary from 1-2 consults per week to 3-4, with this being a 45 minute scheduled visit. No rounding No admissions Requirements Active IL license Board certified, board eligible within the last 12 months of completing residency Support Staff Will work with another Radiation Oncologist with weekly chart reviews and collaboration EMR We utilize Epic EMR, as well as Aria documentation is completed in Epic, while the treatment planning is still in Aria. We do have a new True Beam that was installed in March
