Compensation: $160/hr Approx. $333,070 annually

Position Overview:
We are seeking an ABPN Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director for a leadership role in New York. The ideal candidate will bring both clinical and supervisory experience, preferably in an academic or teaching setting. This role involves overseeing psychiatric services, providing clinical leadership, and participating in high-level departmental meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical oversight and supervision to psychiatric staff.
Participate in administrative meetings and decision-making (approx. 10% of total time).
Ensure quality of care and compliance with state and organizational standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams serving a Medicaid population.
Qualifications:
Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Active New York State medical license (must be eligible for Civil Service exam).
Proven leadership and clinical supervisory experience.
Forensic and Child Psychiatry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with PROS programs helpful, but not required.
Commitment to serving Medicaid and underserved populations.
Additional Details:
Management-level position (not eligible for overtime).
Must be available for in-person work five days per week.
