Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Provides care for patients with complex medical needs
- Rotating shift schedule with variable hours
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
- Assesses patient readiness to learn and develops appropriate care plans
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and revise plans of care
- Performs bedside point of care testing as needed
- Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
- May participate in professional growth activities and unit performance improvement initiatives
- Holiday coverage may be required per hospital schedule
- Background check and drug screening required prior to start; deadlines for documentation are firm
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of one year nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
