Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental practices. This role involves providing high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients, ensuring optimal oral health.
- Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve overall clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics.
- Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and infection control measures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
