Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to assist with incident prevention, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
- Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation protocols.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when required, following established procedures for the financial institution location.
- Maintain a professional and approachable presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and/or customers at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
