• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:45AM - 7:15PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 101 beds
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER RN experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful behavior
• Ability to work every other weekend; must meet department scheduling needs
• Dress code: Navy scrubs

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients using Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Document patient care in Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
• Maintain accurate patient boards and provide ongoing communication to patients and families
• Uphold AIDET principles and ensure a respectful, positive experience for every patient
• Participate in department initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and teamwork
