Job Details:
• Work 12.5-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment duration
• No on-call responsibilities
• No block scheduling
• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as necessary
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain stock supplies including linen and related materials
• Analyze patient anatomical structure, set up equipment, and perform CT scans
• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies for procedures
• Assist radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection including patient shielding and ALARA techniques
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS system
• Complete all study indexing in the Radiology Information System
• Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologist before performing studies
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Interview process conducted via MS Teams
