American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist experienced in adult outpatient and emergency department settings with 2+ years of experience and the ability to perform X-ray and advanced CT procedures.
Responsibilities- Position based in a freestanding Emergency Department coordinating outpatient, primary care, and ED services
- Handles CT scans and X-ray studies including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and fluoroscopy
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Performs specialized procedures such as brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Operates GE CT equipment and PACS system
- EMR system is Epic and experience is required
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Call is required with a 30-minute response time
- Floating to other facilities within the state may be required
- Must be able to work independently and demonstrate excellent customer service while collaborating closely with ED staff
- All travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state
- Returning employees from other Providence facilities must have a separation of at least 3 months
- Candidates within a 50-mile radius are subject to local rules; submit proof of address for consideration
- Minimal to no RTO; all time off must be requested at submission
- First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
- Completion of non-billable training modules is required prior to start and annually
- Reliable transportation is required; travel pairs need separate vehicles
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
- Current ARRT, ARRT RT (R) (CT), BLS, and WA state license required (license required if applicable)
- Demonstrated skills in starting peripheral IVs and preparation/administration of contrast media
- Proficiency in all forms of contrast imaging for abdomen/pelvis, chest, head, and neck
- Experience with brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA required
- Ability to perform general X-ray studies as listed
- Epic charting experience is required
- Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the past three years
