American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of experience, a GA or compact RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications for a night shift contract.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Common diagnoses include CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular issues
- Patient ratio is 1:4-5 with an average daily census of 35
- Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR systems
- Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units is required
- No call requirements
- Scrub color is navy blue
- No holiday RTO will be approved; travelers are required to work assigned major holidays according to contract guidelines
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Individuals must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible for return as a traveler
- Returned travelers must have completed a successful assignment outside Piedmont if previously unable to return
- Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift in the same unit
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Full compliance is required to start on time; delays in compliance can result in a two-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Two supervisory references from a manager or above required for consideration
