Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in a Trauma 1 teaching hospital requiring a DC RN license and COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Trauma 1, teaching hospital
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:30 to 08:00
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 in the ED
• Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
• No floating to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner Sorian 1st generation EMR
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Parking is available through paid hospital lots or street meters, with cost responsibility on the employee
• Public transportation options are available with the hospital accessible through Metro rail and multiple bus routes
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
